Shelter Improvement
we believe that every elderly person deserves a safe and comfortable home. Our Shelter Improvement Program focuses on renovating and building secure, weather-resistant shelters for abandoned elderly individuals living in harsh conditions. By improving their living environments, we provide them with dignity, and safety ensuring they can live out their years in peace and comfort.
Food Packages
we believe in restoring dignity and hope to the elderly who have been forgotten by society. Through our Food Packages Program, we aim to combat food insecurity, improve their quality of life, and reaffirm that they are not alone. Join us in making a lasting impact on their lives, one meal at a time.
Psychosocial Health Support
we recognize that the well-being of the elderly extends beyond physical needs—it also includes their emotional and mental health. Our Psychosocial Health Support Program is designed to address the isolation, loneliness, and emotional distress that many abandoned elderly individuals experience. By offering regular social interactions, counseling, and community involvement activities, we help nurture a sense of belonging and purpose among the elderly.
Elderly Talents Promotion
we celebrate the rich talents and skills of the elderly through our Elderly Talents Showcasing Program. This initiative provides a platform for the elderly to display their crafts, stories, traditional knowledge, and artistic abilities, honoring their contributions to the community. By engaging in these activities, the elderly not only find joy and purpose but also connect with younger generations, passing down invaluable cultural heritage. This program helps restore their sense of pride, belonging, and recognition in society.
Climate change and Environmental Sustainability
we are committed to addressing climate change and promoting environmental sustainability in our community. We believe that protecting the environment is essential for the well-being of current and future generations, including the elderly. Our initiatives focus on tree planting, sustainable farming practices, and raising awareness about the impact of climate change in Turkana County. By involving the elderly and youth in activities like fruit tree planting, we foster community participation in environmental conservation. Together, we aim to create a greener, more resilient future for all.
Community Inclusion Program
It is designed to foster unity and connection across generations. This program brings together the elderly, youth, and wider community through shared activities such as sports, cultural events, and communal projects. By encouraging interaction and mutual support, we aim to combat isolation among the elderly while promoting a sense of belonging for all. Through these efforts, we strengthen social bonds, bridge generational gaps, and create a more inclusive, compassionate community where every member feels valued and connected.
Community Inclusion & Youth Engagement
Community events bring together the elderly, youth, and other community members for intergenerational interaction through sports, storytelling sessions, and environmental conservation projects such as tree planting to fight climate change.
